OCC Library starts monthly Art and Wine Walk
The starting time is 2 p.m., featuring a painting demonstration by a local artist in the library's lower-level meeting room. Afterward, opportunities are provided to visit galleries and sample wines at an OCC retail business, according to Joe Paisley, a library associate who is organizing the event. The plan is to feature a different artist/gallery every time, allowing attendees to learn about the individuals and their techniques, as well as “what inspired them and made them the artists they are now,” Paisley said. The idea was borrowed from the Cheyenne Mountain Library, which has offered a similar event for awhile, he said. Any artists who would like to be showcased in the library's Art and Wine Walk can contact Paisley at 634-1698 or jpaisley@ppld.org. Westside Pioneer article |
