Water-line work wrapping up on Chesham

A month-long water-line replacement project on Chesham Circle in the Holland Park area was being completed this week. As the Chesham Circle water-line replacement nears completion Nov. 21, heavy equipment at the intersection of Heidi Lane converges near a trench box where a Colorado Springs Utilities worker is attaching the service line to a nearby residence. Westside Pioneer photo        “We want to get done before Thanksgiving,” said Mike Lovato, a construction maintenance specialist with Colorado Springs Utilities.        The work areas are temporarily filled in to allow driving, with the final paving to occur at an as-yet-unspecified date.        According to Utilities officials, the project replaced 1,150 feet of water main west of Centennial Boulevard, in front of 60 homes on Chesham Circle from Heidi Lane to Michener Drive.
