Patke named new Greccio director
Greccio Housing, a Westside-based nonprofit, has named Lee Patke as its next executive director. He will replace Rich Strycker, who is scheduled to retire from
Greccio at the end of October.
Originally from College Station, Texas, Patke has been chief operating officer for resident services at Griffith Centers for Children since 1998. Before that, Patke had worked in both the social and for-profit sectors, including employment with Volunteers for America and Hershey Chocolate, USA. Patke volunteers with numerous organizations, including Big Brothers/Big Sisters and El Paso County Search and Rescue, and is current board president of the Pikes Peak Kiwanis. Greccio was founded in 1990. Its mission is “to provide stable, safe, affordable housing, and to create supportive op-portunities and services for the residents to enhance their individual growth,” a press release states. The agency owns or manages 17 apartment properties totaling 351 units and serving over 800 residents each year.
