Scenic Colorado plans Highway 24 cleanup Oct. 8 along mile in front of Red Rock Canyon Citizens are asked to join a trash pick-up Saturday, Oct. 8 along a mile of highway (in front of Red Rock Canyon Open Space).The meeting place is the northwest corner of Highway 24 and Ridge Road at 9 a.m. The sponsoring group is Scenic Colorado, which has adopted that part of the highway. Orange bags and vests will be provided. “All that you need is a strong back and work gloves,” said Scenic Colorado leader Larry Barrett. The work takes an hour or more.
