Art Walk in Old Town Sept. 3

Shows at the Hunter-Wolff and Arati Art galleries will be part of the monthly Old Colorado City Art Walk Friday, Sept. 3 from 5 to 8 p.m. "The Red Bicycle" (Greece), by Jeannie Breeding, at Hunter-Wolff Gallery. Courtesy of Hunter-Wolff        Hunter-Wolff, 2510 W. Colorado Ave., will showcase Jeannie Breeding's “Lands Near & Far” collection. Breeding will unveil plein air and studio oil paintings inspired by visits to Greece, Spain, China and across the Southwest.        Arati, 2425 W. Colorado Ave., will feature “Into the Wild,” by painter Gene Johnson and bronze sculptor Peggy Cook.        The Art Walk includes 12 galleries/studios in all, with most of them typically providing music, food and/or artists to meet or provide demonstrations.        The monthly events, which will continue through December, help promote Old Colorado City as an artistic area.
