Art Walk in Old Town Sept. 3
Shows at the Hunter-Wolff and Arati Art galleries will be part of the monthly Old Colorado City Art Walk Friday, Sept. 3 from 5 to 8 p.m.
Hunter-Wolff, 2510 W. Colorado Ave., will showcase Jeannie Breeding's “Lands Near & Far” collection. Breeding will unveil plein air and studio oil paintings inspired by visits to Greece, Spain, China and across the Southwest. Arati, 2425 W. Colorado Ave., will feature “Into the Wild,” by painter Gene Johnson and bronze sculptor Peggy Cook. The Art Walk includes 12 galleries/studios in all, with most of them typically providing music, food and/or artists to meet or provide demonstrations. The monthly events, which will continue through December, help promote Old Colorado City as an artistic area. According to Sharon Wolff, owner of Hunter-Wolff, “the work of hundreds of artists” are on display in the 12 participating galleries.
