What Westside streets will close for bicycle race? Here's the list

       The streets in the chart below, including several on the Westside, are scheduled for closure during all or part of Stage 4 of the USA Pro Challenge bicycle race that will take place the afternoon of Thursday, Aug. 21.
       Also shown in the chart are the times those streets are due to close and reopen. Note that the key streets through the Garden of the Gods - Ridge Road, Juniper Way Loop and Gateway Road - will be closed to motorized vehicles at 6 a.m. that day.
       The schedule was provided by race officials.

In addition, the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) has announced closures of state/U.S. roadways, including a relatively brief stoppage of traffic on Highway 24 to allow cyclists to cross as they ride north on 21st Street in the early part of the race (around 1 p.m.). Also, the I-25 off-ramps at Bijou (Exit 142) will be closed from 11:50 a.m. until about 4 p.m., according to CDOT information.
