Speeding issue on West Pikes Peak
Note: The following is an edited reprint of a letter sent to the city that was shared with the Westside Pioneer.

I live on West Pikes Peak Avenue, 100 yards from “No Man's Land.” There is a designated bike route in front of my house. I see and talk to people riding bicycles from all over the world that come to Old Colorado City to vacation or to condition themselves for the Olympics. I love to see these people enjoying themselves.
What I also witness on a daily basis in front of my house is vehicles traveling at high rates of speeds, with children riding on bikes or skateboards.
Please invest in slowing these people down and maybe save a life. Putting a cop out for a week with RADAR won't fix the problem.
