Meet a Westsider:
Bill Schnick
Profession/Occupation... owner, BJD Engraving. What I like most about the Westside is... the old-style neighborhoods. People look out for each other. Also, lots of trees, not to mention the view of Pikes Peak right out our front door. If I could change anything about the Westside, it would be... nothing, I love the Westside. A good movie I’ve seen recently is... “I, Robot” and “The Last Samurai.” The worst advice I’ve ever gotten was... follow your brain, instead of your heart. If I could meet someone famous, I’d like to meet... Adam Sandler. He makes me laugh. The next time I travel, I’m going to... Indiana, for a family reunion. My favorite childhood memory is... Sunday mornings after family card games. We went to the bakery for dozens of rolls, then my dad made breakfast for everyone – 20 to 30 people. My favorite summer pastime is... motorcycling, there’s nothing like it. Something good I’ve read is.. “Shogun: a novel of Japan,” by James Clavell. I love Janpanese history. My pet peeve is... new cars don’t seem to come with directionals, or nobody thinks they need to use them. If I won the lottery, I’d... live a good life; everyone I care for would, too! We already do, but it would be nice to do it with money! Meet a Westsider” is a regular feature in the Westside Pioneer. If you would like to be a Meet-a-Westsider (or know someone who should be), please give us a call at 471-6776. |
