Master gardeners to be on hand for self-guided tour of 7 Westside plots Aug. 2-3
The self-guided tour between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. each day will allow people to “tour beautiful gardens displaying water-wise gardening techniques for the high- altitude Colorado climate,” an event flyer states. The subhead for the tour is “Westside Garden Story II: Creative Gardening in Challenging Times.” Each location will have a Colorado master gardener “to answer questions and ensure customers stay within the boundaries of each garden,” explained Don Bunce, one of the tour organizers. Tickets ($20 a person, cash or check only) are available through Aug. 1 at seven locations: Good Earth Garden Center, Phelan Gardens, Rick's Garden Center, Spencer's Garden Center, Harding Nursery, Summerland Garden Center and CSU Extension. Proceeds will help the CSU Extension Service. For more information, contact donaldcbunce@comcast.net.
