Midland Trail work seen after summer

Work on additional segments of the Midland Trail “probably won't start until the end of summer,” according to Sarah Bryarly of Colorado Springs Parks. Westside Pioneer photo        The city plans are in place, but “we need to get everything resolved with CDOT [Colorado Department of Transportation],” she said.        Following the old Denver & Rio Grande line through the Westside, the current trail, built in 2004, goes west from America the Beautiful Park to 21st Street.        Mostly staying near Fountain Creek, the remaining trail will eventually connect with an existing creekside trail in Manitou Springs, plans show.
