Manitou cancels annual fireworks

The Manitou Springs Fire Department announced this week it has cancelled its annual Red Mountain July 4 fireworks display this year.
The reason is “the extreme drought we are experiencing,” a department spokesperson said. The annual fireworks have been viewable throughout the Westside. Westside Pioneer/press release |
