Meet a Westsider:
Karen Jones
Profession/Occupation... owner/innkeeper of Wedgewood Cottage Bed & Breakfast Inn, mother of boys 6 and 8 years old. What I like most about the Westside is... the old fashioned neighborhood: knowing everyone on my block, warm summer nights on the front porches, children playing outside! If I could change anything about the Westside, it would be... Nothing! The Westside is the perfect place to live. A good movie I’ve seen recently is... “The Sound of Music.” It’s still my favorite. The worst advice I’ve ever gotten was... I don’t think I have ever gotten any bad advice. If I could meet someone famous, I’d like to meet... Bob Dylan. “The answer, my friend, is blowin in the wind.” The next time I travel, I’m going to... This summer, I am staying in beautiful Colorado, camping with my family and friends. My favorite childhood memory is... riding the city bus downtown with my mom on Saturdays, looking at all the old houses along the way, movies at the Chief Theatre. My favorite summer pastime is... mowing the lawn, gardening and eating outside on the patio. Something good I’ve read is.. The Westside Pioneer. I love having a newspaper all about the Westside. My pet peeve is... people working with the public who should be working in a cubicle. If I won the lottery, I’d... I would travel with my family and give money to organizations that help children and the environment. Meet a Westsider” is a regular feature in the Westside Pioneer. If you would like to be a Meet-a-Westsider (or know someone who should be), please give us a call at 471-6776. |
