Forum June 18 to discuss community water use, Springs Utilities and HOAs A forum on issues that affect community water usage is scheduled Wednesday, June 18 at the Colorado Springs Utilities Conservation and Environmental Center, 2855 Mesa Road.Open to the public, the session will be from 6 to 8 p.m. The event is being hosted by Colorado Springs Utilities and the Colorado HOA Information and Resource Center. According to a press release, examples of community water issues are conservation, xeriscaping and quality water services. Colorado Springs Utilities conservation staff will also be sharing information on water rebates, classes and the entity's Integrated Water Resources Plan. “The HOA Information and Resource Center is part of the Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies and acts as a clearinghouse for information concerning the basic rights and duties of homeowners, declarants and homeowner associations under the Colorado Common Interest Ownership Act (CCIOA), the release adds. “The HOA information officer will discuss the function of this office, provide information regarding HOA water issues and concerns, including changes to laws regarding turf percentages in neighborhoods, and listen to consumers and professionals regarding HOAs in the community.” Seats are limited to 130 attendees.
