Meet a Westsider:
Sheila Baca
Profession/Occupation... Store Manager for Longs Drugs on Centennial. I have been with Longs for 15 years. I have lived on the
Westside my entire life. We are third- generation Westsiders. What I like most about the Westside is... the small-town community feeling. I feel like the Westside is a small town nestled inside a large one. When you live on the Westside, everybody knows everybody. If I could change anything about the Westside, it would be... nothing. I love it just the way it is! A good movie I’ve seen recently is... “The Lord of the Rings – Return of the King.” The worst advice I’ve ever gotten was... to just let things happen. When you want something, you can work hard to make it happen. If I could meet someone famous, I’d like to meet... George Strait. The next time I travel, I’m going to... Disney World in Florida with my 4-year- old, 11-year-old and husband. My favorite childhood memory is... our trip to Azores, Portugal. My favorite summer pastime is... camping with our families. Something good I’ve read is.. “Gung Ho,” a book about motivating people and increasing productivity. My pet peeve is... laziness. If I won the lottery, I’d... travel, travel, travel! Meet a Westsider” is a regular feature in the Westside Pioneer. If you would like to be a Meet-a-Westsider (or know someone who should be), please give us a call at 471-6776. |
