Meet a Westsider:
Lindsey Aparicio

Profession/Occupation... I’m a mother and a real estate investor. My husband and I own Aparicio Home Investments.

What I like most about the Westside is... that it has character and that I live close to my family. I’ve lived here on the Westside since 2001 but grew up in Cascade and went to school in Manitou.

If I could change anything about the Westside, it would be... fixing up more of the houses. I love taking a rundown house and making it look beautiful again. It makes the neighbors have more pride in where they live.

A good movie I’ve seen recently is... I rarely go to movies... but one great movie I’ve seen is “Bringing Down the House.”

The worst advice I’ve ever gotten was... I can’t think of any bad advice. If I got some it didn’t make an impression. I’ve gotten good advice though from my parents and husband.

If I could meet someone famous, I’d like to meet... Faith Hill, the country singer. I really like her music and it appears that she has strong family values.

The next time I travel, I’m going to... El Salvador to visit my husband’s family. And where I’d really like to go sometime is somewhere tropical and romantic with just my husband.

My favorite childhood memory is... Riding bikes with my sister on Marriott Road in Cascade.

My favorite spring pastime is... planting my garden. I love getting the dirt ready for planting vegetable and flower seeds and then watching everything grow.

Something good I’ve read is.. “No B.S. Time Management for Entrepreneurs,” by Dan Kennedy. I’ve just read five of his books, but this one is my favorite.

My pet peeve is... when there are sticks and rocks in the compost pile.

If I won the lottery, I’d... donate a lot of money to cystic fibrosis, buy my dream house on five acres with lots of trees and quit working to spend quality time with my husband and son.
