Thirty-one Midland Elementary kindergarteners, led by teachers Brenda Holmes, Patti Doctor (not shown) and Lucia Pelletier celebrated their “graduation” to first grade May 18. The ceremony included a play (above) that was inspired in part by the students’ visits to Bear Creek Park this year, including last fall when the weed-eating goats were in town. The last day for District 11 elementary schools is May 23.
