Large handmade quilt on display

       Nana's Quilt Cottage, 35 S. 26th St., is displaying a multi-colored, handmade 94 by 93-inch quilt, titled “Domestic Drama,” starting Friday, May 6.
       The quilt was handmade by long-time Westsider Shirley Paterson and machine-quilted by Donna Peterson of Monument.
       Through the Piecing Partners Quilt Guild, the quilt is being raffled as a fundraiser for guild programs and a quilt-donation charity project.
      
       Grand opening of spa
       Breathe Aromatherapy & Wellness Spa, at 1327 W. Colorado Ave., will have a grand opening May 6-8.
       Anne Brinker started the business three years ago. Recent work by her husband, contractor David Brinker, has renovated the Victorian building's space.
       Breathe offers several services - including massage, reiki, body wraps, shirodhara and facials - “highly based on Ayruvedic principles,” according to the business website, breathewellnessspa.net.
       Anne Brinker is certified in aromatherapy and is also a reiki master.
       Products are also sold, including lotions and oils.
