Grand Prix races at Garden May 1

       “Take 5 in the Garden,” consisting of a 5-kilometer and a 5-mile Race, will be held Saturday, May 1 at the Garden of the Gods.
       The races are part of the Grand Prix of Running Series. Both courses, considered hilly and strenuous, will be entirely within the Garden, which is a Colorado Springs city park.
       Through April 30, “early bird” registration is available for $18 at Runners Roost, 107 E. Bijou in downtown Colorado Springs (phone 632-2633) or online at www.csgrandprix.com.
       Team registration must be also be in advance, not on race day.
       The cost to register on race day is $23. T-shirts are not guaranteed to race day sign-ups.
        Race day registration starts at 7 a.m., with the races starting at 8.
       An awards ceremony will follow immediately afterward.
       Race results will be posted online and at the Runners Roost.
