Meet a Westsider:
Ron Lee

Profession/Occupation... Radio news and audio/visual guy for Colorado College.

What I like most about the Westside is... the diversity and funky housing.

If I could change anything about the Westside, it would be... to secede from Colorado Springs (we have nothing in common with Briargate and the east side.)

A good movie I’ve seen recently is... “The Wrestler.”

I'd like to discover... some real culture without driving to Denver.

If I could meet someone famous, I’d like to meet... Abe Lincoln. I’m related to his crazy wife, Mary Todd, through my mother’s side.

The next time I travel, I’m going to... take a road trip to the West Coast.

My favorite childhood memory is... the summer block parties in our East Denver neighborhood.

My favorite spring pastime is... enjoying the warmer weather and the start of baseball.

Something good I’ve read is.. anything biographical.

My pet peeve is... the inept city government. Look at Fort Collins, Boulder and Denver as well-run cities. We get what we pay for! (Thanks, Doug.)

If I didn’t have to work for a year I would... go to the Monterey and Newport Jazz festivals and to the Chicago Blues and New Orleans Jazz and Heritage festivals also.

Meet a Westsider” is a regular feature in the Westside Pioneer. If you would like to be a Meet-a-Westsider (or know someone who should be), please give us a call at 471-6776.
