Meeting April 8 on Bear Creek Park easement fundraising Updated information on fundraising for a Bear Creek Regional Park conservation easement will be provided at an informal public meeting Tuesday, April 8 at 6:30 p.m.The location will be the Bear Creek Nature Center, 245 Bear Creek Road. The meeting will be hosted by El Paso County Parks and the Friends of Bear Creek Regional Park. To date, individual and business donations have gathered more than 60 percent of the $17,500 required to cover the Palmer Land Trust's costs for administrative and stewardship of the easement, according to a press release. The easement will ensure that Bear Creek Regional Park will be preserved for park and open space purposes “in perpetuity,” the release states. For more information, call County Parks at 520-6983.
