Scout service award to Westsider

Dr. Pamela Shockley-Zalabek, chancellor of UCCS and a Westside resident, received the Mary Jean Larson Community
Service Award when the area Girl Scouts-Wagon Wheel Council announced its Women of Distinction at the organization's fifth
annual Mardi Gras Gala Feb. 24. Shockley's volunteer work includes Citizens' Goals, the Fine Arts Center Board, Chamber of Commerce and the Pikes Peak United Way.
