What’s happening? Here’s a list for the Westside

       Here are capsules about popular Westside events/attractions in May-June. More details can be found in the Westside Happenings on Page 9:
       These include:
       Pikes Peak Farmers Market - starting June 10 (summer Saturdays, 7 a.m.-1 p.m.) in Bancroft Park. Mostly regional food vendors. Free entry.
       Old Colorado City Historical Society craft fair (same schedule as the market) outside Old Colorado City History Center.
       Rock Ledge Ranch Historic Site - season starts with sheep-shearing and working-dog exhibition June 3. Admission fee.

       Space Foundation's Discovery Center - exhibits and interactive opportunities Tuesdays to Saturdays, plus special events, including “Explore Space Experiences” June 12 and 19. Admission fee.
       Old Colorado City ArtWalk - first Friday evenings at 14 participating galleries/shops. Free entry.
       Paint the Town Blue - Different live band every Thursday, starting June 15 in Thorndale Park. Free.
       Westside Community Center - Varying presenters in “Summer Morning Fun” programs for children, organized by Old Colorado City Library. Fridays starting June 2. Free.
       Territory Days - annual Memorial Day weekend street festival May 27-29 in Old Colorado City and Bancroft Park. Colorado Avenue will be closed off between 23rd and 27th streets for vendors, rides and live entertainment (19 bands in all, including country star Seth Ennis from Georgia and the 30- member 101st Army Winds). Miniature train at Old Colorado City History Center. Free entry.
       Pollinator Festival - June 10 at Bear Creek Nature Center. Crafts, hikes/interactive. Admission fee.
       Mavic Haute bicycle race - June 30, using mostly Westside streets in concluding Stage 7 of 400-rider amateur Colorado race event. Free for spectators.
