Old Colorado City ArtWalk starts 10th season April 3

Old Colorado City ArtWalk will stroll into its 10th year Friday, April 3.
Started by art gallery owner Sharon Wolff, the free event is held from April to December, on the first Friday of the month, from 5 to 8 p.m. Fifteen galleries are participating this year. People can visit as many as they like in a self-guided tour. Most offer refreshments, entertainment and/or art demonstrations. “This visual arts event is widely popular, bringing together artists from around the region, country and globe,” Wolff said. “Art-lovers can enjoy Colorado Springs' largest concentration of galleries within three city blocks in its charming arts and historic district at no charge.” All the galleries are on West Colorado Avenue, with all but one between 24th and 27th streets. (2508A). New on this year's tour is the Running Wolf Gallery, which specializes in unique jewelry, according to owners Debra and David Bolin, who opened the shop last November.
