Pioneer ups circulation to 4,000; no paper Jan. 6

With this issue, which comes within a few days of marking the Westside Pioneer's one-year anniversary, the free weekly newspaper is increasing its circulation to 4,000.
After starting at 3,000, the newspaper went up to 3,500 last summer and 3,800 last fall. Like the previous two increases, the current hike is in response to growing readership, according to Kenyon Jordan, publisher.
The Pioneer is now available in more than 50 outlets on the Westside.

Two-week issue... The Pioneer will not publish Thursday, Jan. 6, but will resume its weekly schedule Jan. 13. The current issue includes efforts to providenews and calendar information up to the 13th.
