       After a “soft” opening in December, Thunder & Buttons II plans a Grand Opening Weekend Jan 14-15, including a toga party the 14th and live music all weekend. The restaurant/bar at 2415 W. Colorado Ave. is owned by Barbara Walker. The phone is 447-9888.
       The grand opening of Westside Custom Cycles, 2410 W. Vermijo Ave., is scheduled Saturday, Jan. 8 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., with hot dogs and drinks from Western Omelette restaurant being offered from noon to 2 p.m. Westside Custom Cycles, owned by Rich Tullis, offers motorcycle parts and accessories and some bikes on consignment.        Tommy Van is the new owner of the nail-tech business at 3109 W. Colorado Ave. The business has been renamed O.PI Nails The business was formerly called Tony's Nails. Van has been a nail technician for 12 years. The phone is 632-2331.
       The first local franchise of It's a Grind Coffee House is nearing an opening at the Grand View Marketplace shopping center, Fillmore Street and Centennial Boulevard.
