Bridge deck pour to close Fillmore, I-25 at interchange overnight Dec. 22

Fillmore Street and I-25 are scheduled to close at the interchange for overnight work between 9 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 22 and 5 a.m. Dec. 23.
The work will involve pouring concrete for the deck on Fillmore's new north bridge over I-25.
The bridge will be closed to Fillmore traffic both ways, but through traffic on I-25 can continue by using the on- and off-ramps.
There is no set date for when the north bridge will open to traffic.
The new south bridge was built and opened to Fillmore traffic in September.
The work is part of a $15.1 million project, overseen by the Colorado Department of Transportation, to replace the old Fillmore/I-25 interchange, including ramp improvements. The contractor, SEMA Construction, started last February. Overall project completion is foreseen in the summer of 2016, with an optimistic target date of June.
