Meet a Westsider:
Chris Plunkett

Profession/Occupation... owner/operator of Intermountain Tree Care. I am a professional forester and arborist.

What I like most about the Westside is... the world-class mountain biking and hiking trails. The old buildings and the history, and the funky people.

If I could change anything about the Westside, it would be... Id make it more pedestrian and bicycle friendly, with more public transportation and fewer automobiles.

A good movie Ive seen recently is... The Running Man, with Dustin Hoffman.

The worst advice Ive ever gotten was... purchase real estate in Bayfield, Colorado. The house was a money pit.

If I could meet someone famous, Id like to meet... Bob Dylan. I just saw him live in concert in Boulder.

The next time I travel, Im going to... the Osa Peninsula in the Tortuguero region in Costa Rica in February and on the Rhine River through Europe this summer.

My favorite childhood memory is... fall in New England. My brother and I would rake the leaves into piles, then jump into them and then do it all over again.

My favorite fall pastime is... biking and hiking in the mountains. I bike the Intemann Trail at least three times a week.

Something good Ive read is.. A Sand County Almanac, by Aldo Leopold, one of the fathers of the conservation movement.

My pet peeve is... people who leave their Christmas lights on until March.

If I won the lottery, Id... set up my family for life and give the rest away to charity.

Meet a Westsider is a regular feature in the Westside Pioneer. If you would like to be a Meet-a-Westsider (or know someone who should be), please give us a call at 471-6776.
