3 authors to sign their books at History Center Dec. 19

       Book signings by three local authors and historians will be featured at the Old Colorado City History Center from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 19.
       The three are the following:
       Leland Feitz, a well-known Cripple Creek historian and author of several books about the Pikes Peak region. Feitz' memoir, published this year, is titled “Growing Up in the San Luis Valley.”
       Museum archivist Jan MacKell. Her new book is “Brothels, Bordellos, and Bad Girls: Prostitution in Colorado, 1860-1930.” McKell has also written “Cripple Creek District: Last of Colorado's Gold Booms.”
       Mary Jane Massey Rust is a Manitou Springs author and lecturer as well as a producer of media programs based on Southern Colorado history. One such project helped inspire her most recent work, a 2002 book about trains titled “Images of Historic Southern Colorado.”
       There is no admission charge. The event is sponsored by the Old Colorado City Historical Society (OCCHS).
