Weather cancels Hwy 24 meeting

The Highway 24 Working Group meeting Nov. 29, which was to have discussed proposals for the controversial 21st Street interchange, was cancelled because of snowy weather.
El Paso County Commissioner Sallie Clark, who organizes the group's bi-weekly meetings, said the next meeting will be Wednesday, Dec. 13. The time and place is 6:30 p.m. at the Colorado Springs Police Gold Hill Substation, 955 W. Moreno Ave.
The Working Group started early last summer as an attempt to get input from area elected, business and civic leaders about Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) proposals for a major expansion of the Highway 24 corridor between I-25 and Manitou Springs.
