Meet a Westsider:
Allstate Insurance agent.
What I like most about the Westside is... It reminds me of Colorado Springs 50 years ago Ė mom and pop businesses, good neighbors and a more peaceful pace to life.
If I could change anything about the Westside, it would be... Iíd have my parents move to the Westside.
A good movie Iíve seen recently is... ďThe Blue Planet,Ē a great documentary on how our planet works. Purely scientific.
The worst advice Iíve ever gotten was... Fourteen years ago we were advised heavily against buying our home in Pleasant Valley. Luckily we did not listen because after some work everyone thinks it is a gem.
If I could meet someone famous, Iíd like to meet... I have always had a problem with famous because being famous doesnít really make someone interesting. I meet interesting people everyday who could be famous if they wanted to.
The next time I travel, Iím going to... Itís tough to get away from work at this stage in my life but my two dream vacations would be Scotland, to visit my cousins, and Australia.
My favorite childhood memory is... playing baseball and football at Bonny Park. I would spend all day at the park with all of my friends, and my parents never had to worry about where we were.
My favorite fall pastime is... football, golf and fishing, but really anything outdoors because fall is by far the prettiest season in Colorado.
Something good Iíve read is.. the Westside Pioneer. Every Friday, I really do look forward to the arrival of the postman because when he delivers the Pioneer, life stops as I relax and catch up on the events of the Westside.
My pet peeve is... aggressive drivers, which is a big reason I like the Westside because people just drive at a more reasonable pace.
If I won the lottery, Iíd... travel to Scotland and Australia, pay off the tuition bills for my kidís college then probably set up a foundation designed to preserve open space on the Westside.
Meet a WestsiderĒ is a regular feature in the Westside Pioneer. If you would like to be a Meet-a-Westsider (or know someone who should be), please give us a call at 471-6776.
