Just read your article about the fire off Naegele Road [Westside Pioneer, Nov. 21]. It was stated that 911 was called and no one answered.
I too called 911 early one morning in September. After about 90 seconds of the phone ringing, I hung up and called the police number. I was quite shocked that 911 had not answered in a timely manner. After I got off the phone with the police, 911 did call back. It was a little late at that point.
I wonder how many other Colorado Springs folks have experienced the same lack of service from the 911 emergency team. Maybe something to look into?
Thanks and good luck with your online publication.
