Clark appointed to national county panel

       El Paso County Commissioners Chair Sallie Clark, a Westside resident and business owner, will be on a steering committee for the National Association of Counties (NACo). NACo President Colleen Landkamer this month appointed Clark to the Justice and Public Safety Steering Committee, which studies such matters as law enforcement, courts, homeland security, crime prevention, fire prevention, and civil disturbances.
       NACo provides legislative, research, technical and public affairs assistance to county governments and advocates county issues to the federal governments.
       Clark was one of four El Paso County commissioners who were apointed to NACo committees.
