Pleasant Valley re-elects Wulf as president

Dick Wulf was unanimously re-elected to a third two-year term as president of the Pleasant Valley Neighborhood Association in recent e-mail voting that ended Nov. 8.
Also elected without opposition were five board members. Flo Hagiwara (treasurer), Carol Corcoran and Dawn Sandoval were reelected. Donna Mount (secretary) and Bruce Lane, who had been appointed to the board during the past year, were elected for the first time. Ryan Tefertiller was appointed afterward to a vacant board position. (All will serve one-year terms.)
The election was in conjunction with a membership drive that Wulf said he hopes will sign up 200 of the 810 households within Pleasant Valley boundaries (off 31st Street north of Colorado Avenue).
Members pay $20 in dues. “Every year we put at least $1,000 in savings for a big project in the future,” Wulf said. “Otherwise, we have a yard trash day with wood chipping and usually with hazardous waste collection.”
Other benefits to members have included window clings to deter burglars and mock security cameras (sold for $5 each).
