Rock Ledge event shows how ranch prepares for winter
The annual “Puttin' Food By” event is scheduled at Rock Ledge Ranch Saturday, Nov. 13 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Visitors will get to observe pork processing, sausage and soap making, cooking demos and other activities related to the ways early settlers prepared for winter.
The cost is $5 for adults; $3 for seniors and students and $1 for children over 5.
Rock Ledge Ranch, a city-owned working ranch operated in the style of the 1880s, is located in the Garden of the Gods, off Gateway Road near the Garden's Visitor Center.
