Presentation on Pearl Harbor, Dolittle Raid at OCC History Center Nov. 14

Timed for Veterans Day, the Old Colorado City History Center will host a program Saturday, Nov. 14 titled “World War II Stories: Pearl Harbor and the Dolittle Raid.”
The center is at 1 S. 24th St. The starting time is 11 a.m.
Presenter Ken Valles has studied the Pacific Theater of World War II as a hobby for more than 30 years, including trips to Asia, according to a press release from the Old Colorado City Historical Society (OCCHS).
“There will be video clips and a display that complements the story of a mission that is actually hard to believe,” the release continues, referring to the Dolittle Raid being a response to the Japanese Pearl Harbor attack Dec. 7, 1941. “As we celebrate Veterans Day Remembrance on Nov. 11, let us truly revere those valiant efforts of Americans who served in World War II.”
Admission is free to OCCHS members, $5 for non-members.
For more information, call 636-1225 or go to occhs.org.
