The International Dance Club will host its annual USO Dance Saturday, Nov. 14 in recognition of Veterans Day (Nov. 11).
“Uniforms from all eras, red, white and blue or 40's attire are welcome!” states a press release from club president Judy Nelson. “Help us honor our veterans!”
The Mike Hogan Hot Schnapps Band will play from 7:30 to 11 p.m.
The club is at 2422 Busch Ave.
Admission is $8 for club members, $10 for non-members.
For the USO dances, “we never know how many eras we will have,” Nelson said, “but in the past we've had WWII, Korea, Vietnam and Saudi. Some of the guys just wear a baseball cap of what war or branch they were in.”
Nelson and her husband Gary offer dance lessons at the club on the first and third Thursdays of the month from 7:15 to 8:45 p.m.
