Assistance League's annual Fun Fair raises money for charity at Shrine Club Nov. 6 The Assistance League of Colorado Springs will hold its annual Fun Fair at the Colorado Springs Shrine Club, 6 S. 33rd St., Friday, Nov. 6.The free event will be from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., with an optional lunch at noon for $16. Advance reservations are needed for the lunch, which includes a style show of clothing items from the League's Bargain Box store, a spokesperson said. Tables will be set up around the hall, chiefly selling items that have been donated to the League, such as jewelry, toys and holiday items. There will also be a silent auction. Proceeds will benefit philanthropic programs of the Assistance League of Colorado Springs, a volunteer, nonprofit charity that is especially focused on providing clothing to children in poverty. The local entity has been a chapter of the nationwide Assistance League since 1970. To make lunch reservations, call 597-2675.
