Coronado High drama students to perform play, 'Almost, Maine,' Nov. 12-14

Drama students at Coronado High School will present three performances of the play, “Almost, Maine.”
The scheduled dates are Nov. 12 and 13 at 7 p.m. and Nov. 14 at 2 p.m. All shows will be at the Coronado auditorium, 1590 W. Filllmore St.
Written by actor/writer John Cariani (who grew up in Maine), the story is an “an earnest 19-character play about the romantic happenings one cold night in northern Maine,” according to a 2010 article in the New York Times.
Tickets are $7 for adults and $5 for children 10 and under. Optionally available for Nov. 13 is a $35 “VIP” dinner for two, including soup served by the school's French Club, bowls handmade by the Art Department and prime seating for the show, according to theater instructor Erin Ambroz.
Proceeds will go to Care & Share and Cougar Cares (a charity for Coronado families).
Tickets are available at the door, at myschoolbucks.com or by calling 328-3789.
