Coronado festival invites younger kids
Coronado High's student government will host a Fall Harvest Festival Saturday, Oct. 26.
Going from 6 to 8 p.m., the event is free and open to the public and geared for children of elementary ages, according to Coronado Student President Carter Gerber.
Highlighted will be “haunted hallways” in the basement of the school's main building and various games, activities and treats in the cafteria, he said.
The school is at 1590 W. Filllmore St.
Holiday Bazaar at CHS
More than 100 vendors/ artisans will set up booths at Coronado High for the third annual Holiday Bazaar Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 26-27. Proceeds will go to the school's band and orchestra programs.
The times will be 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday. Admission is free.
The vendors will be set up in three locations - the gym, the band room and the commons area between them.
Vendor items will include pet items, woodwork, pottery, food, jewelry, candles, holiday decorations and gifts, according to event coordinator Brian Kohls.
There will also be a silent auction, and Santa is scheduled from 1 to 3 p.m. both days.
