Annual 'Ghouls & Stools' event to clean up Dog Park off 21st Street Oct. 31 Volunteers are needed to help with a cleanup day in the Bear Creek Dog Park Saturday, October 31 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.Scheduled on or around Halloween every year, the event is called Ghouls & Stools Day. Part of Bear Creek Regional Park,the 20-acre facility is off South 21st and Rio Grande streets. Buckets, bags and rubber gloves will be provided. Attendees are asked to bring shovels or other pickup devices. The event is co-sponsored by El Paso County Parks and the volunteer Friends of Bear Creek Dog Park. A costume contest, funded by a local car dealership, is planned at noon. “Wear your Halloween finest, as there will be prizes for the best costume, most original costume, and volunteer/dog look-alike costume,” a press release states.
