Bank rebranding in 3200 block
Originally built in 2007 as the Bank at Broadmoor-Westside, the full-service 3,200-square-foot facility at 3216 W. Colorado Ave. recently became a branch of Northstar Bank Colorado.
Mark White, the president of Northstar's 20 locations in Colorado, described the change as a “very positive transition,” taking place over the past several months, “with no account numbers changed and the same staffing. It's been more of a rebranding, based on who we are as a much larger bank.”
In addition to a higher lending range (up to $20 million), “we've been able to enhance our offerings, including online, with electronic bill-pay, account management online and remote cash or deposit,” White said.
Ed Sauer, who had helped start Bank at Broadmoor-Westside, is still on the board, White added, and the community advisory director is Judy Kasten, a long-time Old Colorado City business owner and severaltimes chair of the Old Colorado City Security & Maintenance District Committee.
White himself is a 1987 graduate of Coronado High School. “The Westside is important to our bank and our future plans,” he said. “We have great relations with existing businesses.”
Overall, Northstar Bank Colorado has 180 employees statewide; it is also building a new facility downtown.
Jon Holmes, vice president of Northstar Bank Colorado, is the senior manager at the West Colorado location.
