Meet a Westsider:
Susan Libretti

Profession/Occupation... sales associate at Michael Janetis Gallery in OCC. I also show antiques and my own painted furniture designs at shows.

What I like most about the Westside is... it has a small town atmosphere, where everyone knows their neighbors.

If I could change anything about the Westside, it would be... to make the streets wider so cars could get down them easier, or make parking on one side of the street only.

A good movie I’ve seen recently is... “The Notebook,” with James Garner and Gina Rowlands.

The worst advice I’ve ever gotten was... my girlfriend’s advice to me about dating a man younger than me. “Just go out and have fun, you aren’t going to marry him.” Eighteen months later she was in my wedding. (So it turned out to be good advice!)

If I could meet someone famous, I’d like to meet... Judith Dench – she’s an excellent actress and an interesting person.

The next time I travel, I’m going to... Europe – I’ve been there several times, but have never seen Paris and I want to go there.

My favorite childhood memory is... having birthday parties. My mom always made them special, and since they happened in the summer they lasted longer and we could do more outside activities.

My favorite summer pastime is... hiking with my dog.

Something good I’ve read is.. Bill Clinton’s memoirs – “My Life.”

My pet peeve is... rude people – it’s just as easy to be nice as it is to be nasty.

If I won the lottery, I’d... quit my job, pursue activities I couldn’t afford before, and I’d also make sure my family was taken care of.
