Free classes on Medicare offered through Area Agency on Aging Oct. 16, 19

The Area Agency on Aging will host its final “Medicare 101” classes for the year Monday, Oct. 16 at 9 a.m. and Thursday, Oct. 19 at 5:30 p.m.
The location is the lower floor of the Pikes Peak Area Council of Governments (PPACG) building, 14 S. Chestnut St.
Offered at no charge, each class lasts two hours, explaining Medicare Parts A, B and D, as well as other senior insurance options, including supplemental and employee plans.
Started in 2009, the Medicare 101 Classes are hosted by the State Health Insurance Assistance Program (SHIP) office, a taxpayer-supported service. For more information, call SHIP at 888-696-7213.
Because class sizes are limited, advance registration is necessary by calling the Area Agency on Aging at 635-4891.
