GoG Visitor Center resumes ‘Look’ program

       The “Lunch & Look at the Garden” weekly series will return to the Garden of the Gods Visitor & Nature Center starting Tuesday, Oct. 5.
       The free presentations will continue on Tuesdays at noon in the Red Rocks Room through Dec. 14.
       The concept is for people to attend the talk, then have lunch (at their own expense) in the center's café, according to a press release from center volunteer Jeanne McElderry.
       The address is 1805 N. 30th St. Reservations are requested at 219-0108.
       Here is the Lunch & Look schedule through October, listing date, speaker and topic:
  • Oct. 5 - Susan Fletcher (Glen Eyrie historian), “A Reading Circle circa 1909”; Oct. 12 - Bette Lamore (Garden volunteer), “The Utes - Neighbors in the Garden”; Oct. 19 - Bret Tennis (park lead interpreter), “Big Horn Sheep”; Oct. 26 - Paul deBerjeois (professional photographer), “Photo Ops Seldom Seen.”
           According to McElderry, these talks will be reprised in November and December, as follows:
  • Nov. 2 - Lamore; Nov. 9 - deBerjeois; Nov. 16 - Fletcher; Nov. 30 -Tennis; Dec. 7 - Fletcher; Dec. 14 - Lamore.
           In other Garden news:
           Free nature programs in the Red Rocks Room for children 3-5 are scheduled on October Fridays at 10 a.m. - Oct. 8 and 15 (spiders) and Oct. 22 and 29 (bats). Reservations are required.
