Guided tour, ghost readings to highlight new OWN Halloween event Oct. 29-30

A guided tour of Halloween-decorated Victorians and ghost stories at the Old Colorado City History Center are the chief attractions of a new Westside event Oct. 29 and 30.
The first-time Old Colorado City Historic Halloween Tour and Ghost Story Reading is scheduled between 5 and 8 p.m. both those nights.
The event will be in cooperation with the Old Colorado City Historical Society (OCCHS), which will provide its History Center as headquarters for the tours.
Plans call for attendees to receive a walking tour including several historic Westside homes - decorated in Halloween style for the occasion - before returning to the center for refreshments and ghost stories.
       For ticket information, call 630-2155.
The event is a fund-raiser to pay for photographs of some 4,000 Westside homes - an early step in a non-mandatory historic overlay effort that OWN members believe will encourage the preservation of the Westside's historic buildings (see story).
