Human/nature aspect in photo contest
The Westside-based Rocky Mountain Field Institute has launched its first juried photo contest.
The theme is “NATURE!” - with subcategories of Reaction, Rebirth, Rejoice and Recreate and special judging for entries by people 17 and younger.
According to a press release, the idea is to challenge “photographers of all skill levels to think about the dynamic between humans and the environment.”
Finalists in each category will have photos exhibited in November, including the annual Fall ShinDIG at the Garden of the Gods Visitor Center, with a grand prize winner chosen by public vote.
The entry fee is $10 for one jpeg, with a reduced cost for multiple entries. Send to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Entry fees can be paid online at rmfi.org/donate or at the RMFI office, 815 S. 25th St, Ste 101, Colorado Springs, CO 80904. Deadline for submission is October 25, 2013.
