Meet a Westsider:
Andi Eastburn

Profession/Occupation... I am the florist and co-owner (with my husband) of Daisy Pig Floral, LLC.

What I like most about the Westside is... the wide streets, alleys, trees, old buildings and the small-town feel. I’m a Colorado native and have lived here on the Westside for 20 years.

If I could change anything about the Westside, it would be... to bring back the St. Patrick’s Day Parade. We used to go to it every year. We haven’t been since it was moved away from the Westside.

A good movie I’ve seen recently is... “College Road Trip.” We watched it with my granddaughter, Ashley. It had an amazing pig in the movie and reminded me of our pot-bellied pig Daisy.

The worst advice I’ve ever gotten was... “Don’t ride a motorcycle.” I didn’t listen to that advice. I love riding mine!

If I could meet someone famous, I’d like to meet... John Travolta. I like all his movies and he seems like a nice person. He’s a pilot, biker and I also like how he conducts his own life.

The next time I travel, I’m going to... Hawaii, with my husband. We’ll be going for our 25th anniversary and my bouquet will be orchids!

My favorite childhood memory is... My dad was a DJ for the KSSS radio station here in Colorado Springs. He’d commute from home (we lived in Lakewood at the time) in the big white van with huge lips all over it. The interior was candy-striped, red and white. We’d pretend we were DJs and just had a blast playing in it. The van was fully equipped. As a family, we used to record commercials for the radio station. One that comes to mind is, “The Dapper Dan Ice Cream” commercial.

My favorite fall pastime is... going up to the high country in our four-wheeler ATVs and enjoying the changing of the leaves.

Something good I’ve read is.. I mostly read the newspaper and keep up with current events.

My pet peeve is... people who leave their animals in cars on hot days.

If I won the lottery, I’d... do the same as I am today, help with charities (through the motorcycle groups) and pay off my business.
