New Teen Committee forming at West Center

       The West Intergenerational Center is looking for teens to serve on a volunteer committee to help plan teen activities.
       The committee will meet on a monthly basis, advising center staff on programs and services for teens, according to Carmen Vazquez-Guy of the West Center.
       The first meeting is 4 to 5:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 10 at the center, 25 N. 20th St.. Those who attend will get free admission to the Teen Night - the first of the school year - at the center from 5:30 to 9 p.m.
       Teen nights are open for all middle schoolers with IDs in grades 6-8, including Holmes and Manitou Springs. A deejay plays music, and table games and a concession stand is available. Admission is $2.
       Other upcoming Teen Nights will be Sept. 17 and Oct. 8.
