Silver Key requests volunteer Meals on Wheels drivers
Silver Key Senior Services needs volunteers who can give two hours one day per week to deliver meals to elderly people for its
Meals on Wheels program.
The need is “critical,” according to Silver Key spokesperson Arlinda Thomas.
“With this small amount of time, you have the opportunity to make a big difference in someone's life,” said Audrey Santos, volunteer coordinator for the Westside-based non-profit agency, which provides a variety of care to about 17,000 senior citizens in the Pikes Peak region. “For some of our deliveries, you would be the only person that elderly client may see that day and your short time together will provide them with essential nutrition and needed personal contact, which means so much to them. “
