OWN to discuss highway noise, health issues
Highway noise issues and a health presentation are on the agenda of the monthly town meeting of the Organization of Westside
Neighbors (OWN) Thursday, Sept. 9
The meeting, free and open to the public, will begin at 7 p.m. at the West Intergenerational Center, 25 N. 20th St.
The goal regarding highway noise is to present information about the effectiveness of noise mitigation for the planned I-25 widening and how that might relate to future state plans for upgrading Westside Highway 24, according to OWN Board Member Bob Kliewer.
The health presentation, on stroke and vascular disease prevention, will be given by Bobbie Hoover of Colorado Life Line Screening Health Service.
OWN is the chief advocacy group for the Westside.
